Australian National University Climate Update by Prof Mark Howden

This week the Australian National University (ANU) presented its Climate Update 2024, an overview of how our climate is changing and how we are responding to these changes in Australia and around the world. This annual event brings together experts, policymakers, students, industry and the community to discuss the state of our climate and what can be done to tackle climate change.

A highlight of this was a presentation by Prof Mark Howden, Director, ANU Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions and Vice-Chair, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

He paints a confronting picture of our climate that is rapidly heating.
